ANP's
(Apparently Normal Parts)
These alters deal with daily life. Often, ANP's might not know trauma, but some ANP's in our system do.

Caretaker
These alters maintain and take care of other alters within the system, or even the body itself.

Fragment
These alters have a very limited job and are close to be like NPC's.

Internal-Only
These alters stay in the inner world the most. They can front but it may be hard to do so.

Persecutor
These alters are traumatized in a way that can make them inflict harm to the system or body. Note: these alters are not "evil". They are just traumatized and do what they think is needed.

Sexual Alter
These alters deal with sexual related trauma. They can be hypersexual or completely avoidant of it.

Animal/Object
These alters are specifically animals or things. They mights make animal noises or be completely mute.

Dormant
These alters are in a comatose state or cannot be found or triggered in front. It is described to be asleep in a way.

Gatekeeper
These alters can control who fronts when. They can also hold back traumatized alters from fronting.

ISH's
(Internal Self-Helpers)
These alters are almost like advocates for the system. They understand everyone (or most) in the system and are best to explain things to doctors.

Prosecutor
These alters mostly affect relationships if they believe things may be toxic or a repeat of trauma. They are often combined with persecutors and protectors.

Soother
These alters are to comfort and soothe other alters from trauma or daily life that they might be fronting to deal with.

Avenger
These alters act on abuse and may hold anger towards trauma.

Emotion Holder
These alters feel only specific emotions and no others.

These alters front the most often and deal with daily life the most.

Littles
These alters are children. They may have trouble communicating, or might not.

Protector
These alters protect the system from types of harm.

These alters have roles that are only in our system and are not identified by any other names. Other systems may have similar roles.
